Rappelling the first snow dome the next day with full packs. Midnight descent to minimize avalanche conditions in the suicidal Northwest Basin. The ascent route traversed to the right around this dome.

A midnight rappel into the Northwest Basin. This party did 10 rappels off the snow domes and down the face into the Northwest Basin. About half were fixed in the rocks, the others ice screws and pickets.
