Best snowfall of the year coming this Saturday, so, let's go XC Skiing at Cumbres Pass on Sunday January 25th.  There may be 18" of new snow by Sunday morning.  The plan is to ski Dixie Creek, from Cumbres Pass to the Chama River Valley Overlook.  This is an 8 mile, out/back ski, with 400 ft of elevation gain/loss.  This tour is appropriate for fish scale/metal edged skis (not AT skis or track skis).  If we haven't skied together before, please let me know ahead of time what kind of equipment you will bring.

Let's meet at 6:45 in Los Alamos and 7 am at the White Rock Y.  If you are coming from another location - we can figure out where to meet.

If you are interested in coming, send an email to jeandewart7@gmail.com and indicate if you are available to drive.  I'll send out an equipment list to participants (it is appropriate to bring climbing skins for this tour) and more details about carpooling.   Let's go skiing!
