Vega Redondo (N end San Pedro Parks) day hike

I'd like to repeat a day hike that we did in 2021. This hike takes one to the northernmost of the San Pedro Parks meadows, which are more often reached from the south (but not with the current fire). The route to the trailhead takes FR 172 to the south from state 96, about 4 miles west of Coyote. The trailhead leaves from the Resumidero campground, then goes about 3.4 miles and 1000 feet up to the high meadows (2021 picture below). We will leave Los ALamos at 8 AM this Friday, a Lab holiday, carpool to the trailhead, and return to Los Alamos hopefully by dinner time. Let Bill know if you want to join in, and bring sun protection, water, lunch, and rain protection. Of course we will take into account closures and fire conditions before finalizing our trip plans.
