Puerto Nambe loop hike

Let’s hike to Puerto Nambe on the Winsor Trail, continuing to Penitente Peak, Lake Peak and returning to Ski Santa Fe via Raven’s Ridge.  This 10-mile hike takes us through some very pleasant country.  The route varies from a long approach through forest, emerging onto alpine meadow, proceeding to a couple of peaks (topping out at 12,400 feet) and descending through forest once again.  Great views and exercise for your cardio vascular system in a venue close to home.   Departing from Sullivan Field at 7:45 AM to arrive at Ski Santa Fe by 9:00 AM.  Expected trip time is eight hours.  Bring lunch, waterproof jacket, fleece, two liters of water, sun screen, hat, camera, etc.
